Video for Aunt Missee

Wish you were here!

Memorial Day

We had a GREAT day visiting with friends. We went swimming, or tried at least, but Rachel was NOT a fan. I think it was too cold, there were kiddos slashing everywhere, and the pool was big and probably a little overwhelming for the baby girl. We WILL try again! We miss all of our family that is not here :( It makes me sad sometimes thinking about all that my family misses out on but I know the times that we do have together are wonderful and we make the most of them.

She is getting SO big. At her 6 month check up she weighed 14.8 and is 25' long I believe. The doctor promises me that she is not to small, even though I have doubted myself. She will be turning 8 months on the 14th of June. It goes WAY to fast....all mothers have told me that but I didn't realize how fast it really is until now.

She is getting dedicated at church on Sunday June 7th. I will be sure to add those pictures as soon as I get them. For now.... enjoy these! Love you all!

once upon a time.....

Once upon a time i was good at updating my blog. Sorry for those of you that rely on this to see pictures of our little one (aunt missee). I have not been very diligent in keeping it up.

She is 6 MONTHS TODAY!!! I can't believe it has gone by so fast. She is eating baby food and cereal, sitting up, rolling over and smiling and laughing alot. We are so thankful for the joyful spirit that the Lord has given her. You can tell she LOVES people and music.

The other night while we were watching american idol she looked so excitedly at the tv while someone was singing and let out a big laugh with a smile....she loves it.

Well here are lots of pictures for you to enjoy. Miss those of you that are far from us (which is most of you i think).

3 Months old TODAY!!!

Sorry it has been so long. I have had a "lazy" holiday lull come over me. We are doing great....Rachel is growing so beautifully and we are amazed daily at God's grace for this new season. She is 13 weeks as of yesterday and weighs probably about 11 lbs. now! She has lots of new little rolls on her legs and her belly is growing more and more. She is definitely talkative these days and loves to make noises and be tickled. She is full of joy (most of the time). ha!

We are sleeping alot better as well. Sometimes she will do about 8 hours in the night time, praise Jesus! She has discovered her hands and goes crossed eyed trying to look at them sometimes. She loves to suck on her hands as well, we have tried the pacifier several times, sometimes she likes it and sometimes she doesn't so it's a hit or miss.

We had our first traveling experience and it wasn't bad at all. We went to Arkansas to visit Grandma Peggy for Thanksgiving and then wen't home to Beaumont for Christmas. It was great to meet all of my family and let them spend time with little Rachel. Here are some pictures to share from the holidays and just some cute pictures from "doing life".

Hope you enjoy the pictures!
